Piper only uses 18k gold and ensures the highest quality finishing. We employ a proprietary hardening process for the gold after casting to contribute to a superior finished product. 18K is the gold used by the world’s most prestigious houses of jewelry and boast a rich, lustrous color. It is the closest metal to pure gold that is practical to use for jewelry without being too soft for everyday wear. We use this gold for our three gold color variations.
Piper only uses ultra-high grade 95% pure Platinum. Piper Platinum is the densest of the precious metals. It is stronger and more dense than gold, and more durable, which makes it the perfect metal for wedding bands and engagement rings.
At Piper we work with our suppliers to only source conflict free, ethically sourced, materials.
All of our center stone diamonds are certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the highest certification standard for their color, cut, carat, and clarity.
Our primary manufacturer is SGS Certified for responsible sourcing and social responsibility.
Our stones are sourced and procured following all the guidelines of the Kimberley Process always utilizing responsible trading practices.
Piper Jewelry employs leading-edge, yet classic, styling. Our in-house design team is composed of leading artisans and designers with years of experience working with the world’s finest jewelry partners.

Piper’s philosophy is better diamonds produce better Jewelry. Here’s our difference.
For our round brilliant cut, our most popular shape, we only offer stones that have a grading of excellent in cut, symmetry and polish thus guaranteeing you a stone that was cut to its maximum potential. Regarding our fancy shape center diamonds (oval, cushion, pear shape & emerald cut), the GIA does not issue a cut grading on their reports for these shapes, however, we maintain our standard of excellence and transparency by dealing in stones that have nothing less than a Very Good grading in symmetry and polish, again eliminating any surprises or doubts you might otherwise have of the stone’s quality.
The clarity grade of a diamond tells us the purity of the stone. PIPER only offers center diamonds that are graded SI1 or better by the GIA. An SI1 grading indicates that the stone is slightly included and 10x magnification would be needed to detect any internal flaws. No imperfections would be detectable to the naked eye.
Diamonds are graded for color using an alphabet system beginning with the letter D for the whitest of stones and continuing down through the letter Z which would indicate a stone with a strong yellow tint.
At PIPER we offer H color center diamonds which are evaluated as near colorless by the GIA.
In our expert opinion, we feel H color is the perfect complement to our strict standard of cutting, producing a magnificent stone and ring while creating a welcoming pricing structure.
The carat of the stone refers to its weight, not its size.
Two stones can weigh the same yet appear different in size due to poor cutting.
Yet another reason as to why we maintain excellent cutting standards.
In order to facilitate your purchase, we offer a range of sizes for all our stones.
Whenever possible, we purchase our small diamonds that have been polished from “sawn good”. (The diamonds that are fit to saw are octahedral in shape – a double pyramid.). These “sawn goods” are more brilliant and along with our proprietary finishing process, create a discernible advantage in a Piper finished piece vs a competitors.
